MEET BONNIE BURBERY

Yoga Teacher and Student  |  Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapist

While traveling the world for five years, I met my first truly inspiring yoga teacher. Under their guidance, yoga

left an indelible mark on my life, quickly and organically becoming an integral part of my daily practice.

It took a full year of slow, transient movement to weave my way home—pausing in India to immerse myself in the study of yoga and embrace the simplicity of ashram life. The seeds that had been planted began to bloom, and now, nestled in the quiet beauty of the Coromandel, I share my daily practices of yoga and Zen Thai Shiatsu with my community.

My teachings are a fusion of Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Yin, and Yoga Nidra, woven together to create bespoke classes that honor the cosmic dance between breath, body, and mind. Within this space, students are invited to be present, to explore, and to rediscover The Self. To enhance this journey, I incorporate yoga philosophy, pranayama, hands-on adjustments, and personalized playlists—each element thoughtfully curated to deepen the experience.

The evolution into bodywork is a natural extension of my yoga offerings. Zen Thai Shiatsu  is a tender practice—one of complete surrender to the present moment. Imagine a private yoga class, but instead of moving yourself, I guide your body through movement, creating space and dissolving stagnant energy. Just when you thought yoga couldn't get any better, this modality beautifully complements the pursuit of presence.

If you have any questions about my offerings, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I would love to connect with you soon.
